Education and Training Platform
The Teaching and Experimental Center of School of Electronic Information was founded in 2001, being the most comprehensive of all technology research centers in Wuhan University. In 2004, it was approved as the Electrical and Electronic Teaching Base of National Engineering Basic Course of Ministry of Education. In 2006, it was approved as the Electronic Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center of Hubei Province. In 2007, it was approved as the National Electronic Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center. In 2010, it was approved within the first batch of the Innovation Base for College Students of Hubei Province.
The center has a total area of 5,000 m2, and over 4,000 sets of teaching instruments and equipments that value over 25 million RMB. It hosts 10 teaching laboratories and opens 28 independent credits of experimental courses that include 11 required courses and 17 elective courses. It undertakes the responsibilities of experiment teaching, school curriculum design, technology innovation and practice, and engineering training of about 5,000 students from 26 undergraduate specialties. The average person-hour per year is about 350,000.
